MealsJust like a car cannot run without gas, so too, a boy cannot learn without nourishment. By donating meals, you are providing the energy for our students to learn and thrive, and consequently receive the merit of the Torah learning you made possible. Knowing the importance of a well-made meal, it is a priority at Lev Aharon to prepare meals as similar as possible to those made at home. To keep the meals healthy, there is a salad at every meal. By sponsoring the meals, you also earn the merit of all the berachot, which our holy rabbis teach us are very useful for the deceased and can bring much blessing to the living.

Sponsor a day / week / month / year
Every letter of Torah learning is worth 613 mitzvot. You might be able to imagine the value of one student learning for one day. But to calculate a whole yeshiva’s learning for many hours is probably incalculable. The greatest way to elevate a soul or honoring a loved one is by dedicating hours of Torah learning.

Sponsor a student
By sponsoring a student’s year in Israel, you are granting him the opportunity to gain maturity, responsibility, and a chance to focus on religions aspects without any distractions. Anyone who spent a year in Israel will tell you that it was the experience of a lifetime. By sharing quarters with others and learning to respect those you live with, it helps prepare him for a successful marriage. After the year in Lev Aharon, student return home well equipped to build beautiful Jewish homes and serve as community leaders.

Yeshiva celebrations
Help raise the level of love for Torah in our students by sponsoring our holiday celebrations. A main point of all mitzvoth is the internal simcha and connection to Hashem it creates for a person. Our celebrations at each holiday bring out our student’s love for Torah and mitzvoth, feelings that raise their level of Judaism and stay with them for a lifetime. These celebratory events, celebrated with dancing, live music, and festive food, are a highlight of the year and remembered for years to come.

Siyum banquets
After months of Torah learning, bonding, and growth, each session culminates in our grand siyum banquet. It is a time to celebrate our student’s accomplishments over the course of the year. Each student speaks openheartedly about everything he gained over the year, his experience in Israel and his future. Students thank everyone who helped them get to where they are, including their parents and rabbis; and the rabbis share their pride of their students. The banquet has a great impact on our students, as it allows for them to reflect upon how much they have accomplished over the year, how proud their rabbis are of them, and how they have formed strong friendships with their peers. Aside from the speeches and an award ceremony, the banquet is celebrated with beautiful dancing, a lavish meal, and great music.

Weekend kollel
On Friday and Motzei Shabbat, we have special rabbis giving classes on topics not covered during the week, such as Hilchot Shabbat and Navi, which attract a large percentage of the students. Being that Friday is a day off in Israel, and a busy time preparing for Shabbat, we feel that it is needed to give a little incentive for the boys to participate in learning. We give out a small stipend after each class, which allows them to buy an extra treat for Shabbat. On Motzei Shabbat, the class is followed by an exciting Melava Malka dinner.

Trips
Part of the highlight of the Israel experience is touring our beautiful land, which gives our students an appreciation and love of Israel and our heritage. The trips are very exciting and keep boys motivated in their learning anticipating upcoming trips, and strengthen them to continue learning strong when they return. Our students are able to form relationships with the rabbis in a relaxed atmosphere, and learn one of our core messages that it is possible to have a good time even with a rabbi in a kosher way. By sponsoring a trip, you are giving the students the ability to learn Torah with a healthy mind and spirit. All and much more applies for a Shabbaton with an addition of the spiritual spice of Shabbat.

RabanimBoys going through the school system often miss the personal attention of a caring rabbi. At Lev Aharon, we make sure to staff vibrant, caring rabanim who focus on each student’s needs and teaches each student at his level. In order to facilitate personal attention, we keep classes small, with an average of 5 students each. All students learn with personal rabeim at night, allowing them to work on their skills. Students leave yeshiva with strong relationships with the rabbis who they stay in touch with for years.
